Lisa is a talented session photographer, who began to feel the pull to share and sell her own art photography, and she wanted to create a website where she could do so.
She had an outdated site, built on Wordpress, which she found difficult and confusing to update. I wanted to create something as gorgeous as her photography and that she was proud to share!
As this was a deeply personal venture, many of the visual brand elements were inspired by Lisa’s everyday real life. I wanted to keep the color palette fairly neutral as a backdrop for the photography, but I sampled the bright pink accent color from a vibrant shade of lipstick she wore. The hand drawn background patterns, handwriting font, and overlapping image treatments were influenced by her creative practice of art journaling.
